Admissions, A film for world peace, starring James Cromwell

"Free"

The Theme Song to Admissions

Free Hey, what’s the hurry why the rush
where you going so fast and furiously?
Why don’t you stop and look around
slow it down and lose some urgency?
Yes, you gotta do what it takes
to uncomplicate your life so you can appreciate
the beauty that…

You’re free
Free to stop this crazy ride and get off
Free to do all the things you’ve been dreaming of
Free to put some life back into love

So what’s the story Mister Long Face
what’s this downer negativity?
It’s a new day a new way
it’s all about creating new energy
If we’re going to elevate why not communicate,
better yet we could just demonstrate that…

We’re free
Free to stop this crazy world and get off
Free to do all the things we’ve been thinking of
Free to put some love back into love

‘Cause all we are is what’s in our hearts
That’s why love’s got to play a part
In every little thing we do
To be a star out in the night
Your warming light must travel far
All the way from me to you

Know that you’re free
Free to stop this crazy ride and get off
Free to do all the things you’ve been dreaming of
Free to put some life back into love

Feel free
Free to stop this crazy world and get off
Free to do all the things we’ve been thinking of
Free to put some love back into love

When the US-Iraq war began, Admissions creator John Viscount
responded by composing the eventual theme song to the film with
music partner, Matthew Yelton. “Free” quickly became the perfect
companion piece to Admissions because it reflects the same thought
system as the film. Its simple, strong message is that we experience
true freedom when we “put some love back into love.”
